From its factory in Rahway, New Jersey, the Regina Music Box Company shipped nearly 100,000 instruments from the mid-1890s until the last sale in 1921. These comprised over 100 different models. The forthcoming book by Q. David Bowers, The Encyclopedia of Disc Music Boxes, now in its final research stages, will devote over 500 pages and more than 1,200 illustrations. The Regina Music Box Company will be presented in detail.

Among the Regina instruments most desired today are the automatic disc-changers, each of which stores 12 discs in a metal rack and plays them automatically in sequence. These were made in three disc sizes: 15.5-inch, as here, and 20.75- and 27-inch. The offered music box is one of only a few that has an art glass (rather than clear glass) front and a clock in the top crest. This option was available only for instruments using this size of disc. It is in excellent condition. 26x66x22 inches.
