Boston, Massachusetts. A timepiece highlight of the Milhous Collection, prior to entering the highly respected Sanfilippo Foundation Collection, this very rare post clock stood in a town square of an American western city. The squared upper portion with black Roman numerals on four white clock faces, surmounted by a stylized pagoda roof, the pillar headed by four lion's heads, the canted base with glazed panels, now painted overall in red and green with gilt borders and highlights. All components are original, although there has been extensive restoration work and addition of beveled viewing glass. The original cast iron doors are present as well. 36x204x36 inches.
