Engraved, ‘From Bentley Motors Ltd in appreciation of a great effort F.C. Clement 4th Grand Prix d’ Endurance at Le Mans 8th-19th June 1927’. The Le Mans Race of 1927 was without doubt the most famous race in the history of Bentley Motors, otherwise known as 'The White House Crash’. This was the 5th Le Mans race and the fourth since the first Bentley win in 1924.
