Est. 13 hp, 175 cc single-cylinder engine.

Parilla’s 175 cc single-cylinder engine was first visible in the Turismo Speciale model, which featured short pushrods operated by a single cam high on the timing case. By the simple addition of a high-lift camshaft, modified versions of the 175-cc model began to have success on the racetrack in Italy. A 175 competition model was timed to a road speed of 96 mph. An aggressive sales campaign was launched in 1957, and Guiseppi Rottigne was employed as a works rider. In 1958 he managed to win the 250-cc Grand Prix at Daytona—on a 175-cc bike. Other race successes were achieved by Tony Woodman who rode for Parilla from 1959 to 1963.

This 175 MDS is a well-presented older restoration with excellent paintwork and good brightwork. It is finished in silver and black, livery that is normally associated with Norton motorcycles. This sporting 175 has alloy wheel rims and a rare handlebar-mounted Smiths tachometer in addition to the speedometer.
