This lovely 1928 Packard sedan has been thoroughly restored and is finished in metallic silver with black cherry fenders and double belt moldings with a dark grey coachline in between and has body-color disc wheels with the classic Packard mushroom-style hubcaps. This is the last year that the drum-style headlights were used by Packard, marking the beginning of a shift in style towards what is now known as the Classic Era. According to the very small gap in the numbering sequence between the chassis and engine numbers, it is likely that the two were mated together from new. This car also retains its original data plate, which shows a delivery date of May 19, 1928. The original body tag sports a number from a 1927 sequence, which makes it likely that the body is off a slightly earlier model that would have originally been on a shorter-wheelbase chassis.

A respectful restoration, every piece of this Packard was refinished from the chassis and suspension to the various components in the engine bay, which are clean and presentable. The only item that appears to be non-stock is the distributor, which is a more modern electronic unit fitted for reliable ignition. The interior is most attractive and inviting with nicely reupholstered grey cloth with a light brown headliner that is taught and clean. The interior hardware is nicely worn, as are the dash and wooden window trim pieces, which have a warm, inviting feel. While the new owner may desire to make a few minor items more authentic over time, purchase of this sharp looking Packard sedan presents an inexpensive opportunity to acquire a CCCA Full Classic that can be driven and enjoyed immediately.
