Carroll Shelby leveraged his growing relationship with Ford in the mid-1960s to modify the brand’s ponycar into a raw track machine. The first GT350s that emerged were just that, with stiff suspensions, Hi-Po V-8s, and modified interiors. A 1967 redesign for the Mustang allowed Shelby to make the GT350’s looks match its street legal race car performance. A muscular hood, a Thunderbird-sourced tail lights, functional scoops aft of the doors, and an integrated spoiler joined the previous model’s Le Mans stripes.
Presented here in Candy Apple Red with white stripes, this 1967 Shelby GT350 presents beautifully with its 10-spoke wheels featuring BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, foglamps integrated into the grille, and an aggressively styled hood with scoops and pins. It features a black vinyl interior with wood steering wheel, radio and rollbar. The GT350’s engine compartment is nicely detailed, prominently displaying the car’s V-8 engine. Power equipment on the car includes power brakes and steering.
