Porsche introduced the 968 in 1992 as the replacement of the 944. During development, Porsche initially referred to the new car as the 944 S3. However after roughly 80% of the mechanicals were either improved or replaced Porsche thought it more fitting to give the car its very own model designation. While the exterior featured similar styling to the 944, changes were made to make it appear more like the Porsche 928. The changes gave the Porsche lineup more continuity with the entry-level 968 looking similar to the upscale 928. The 968 was offered in either a coupe or convertible and was produced through the 1995 model year.

This 1992 Porsche 968 is presented in black featuring a sunroof and rear spoiler. The car is powered by a 3.0-liter, 236-hp four-cylinder engine which is paired to a six-speed manual transmission. The interior is completed in black leather. It features a clock, air conditioning, cruise control as well as an aftermarket Alpine radio unit. Power equipment includes seats, windows and locks. In 1992 Porsche produced a total of 5,353 examples of the 968, of those 3,260 were coupes.
