Pencil, pen and ink, and casein on artist paper. An interesting horizontal format illustrates Frank Crokers racer straining under its own weight. Holes were cut throughout the frame to make the weight requirements for the 1904 Vanderbilt cup. This is the original illustration from Helcks book "The Checkered Flag," on page 59. Matted, framed and glazed.
