All Cabriolets came with a well-equipped platform that was based on the 3.4-liter, 296-hp horizontally-opposed six-cylinder engine; this example has the five-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. From air conditioning to inertia-activated roll-hoops and air-tight power convertible top, the Carrera C2 Cabriolet is a very usable sports car in the grand traditions of this legendary German manufacturer.

The Porsche 911 was into it second year with a water-cooled engine by 1999 along with its restyled aero design. Although these two fundamental changes were initially met with some skepticism by the 911 faithful, time has proven that Porsche made the right decisions on both counts.

Finished in what is reported as “rare Pastel Yellow,” the Porsche also has a black convertible top that is “like new” and the sport interior is black leather. The paint is described as “like new, in perfect condition” and is further said to be all original, never hit and never receiving paint work. The car has been driven sparingly to contribute to its outstanding condition with the odometer showing just over 12,500 miles though the title shows exempt. Among the equipment onboard is the aluminum chrome package, 18-inch sport aluminum design wheels, sport rear seat, factory AM/FM/CD player with high-fi sound system, remote keyless entry, cruise control, air conditioning; power seats, door locks, windows and four-wheel disc brakes.

To this day, the engineering and styling of Porsche remains a benchmark for others to aim for.
