This 560SL is one family owned since purchased new in 1986. In 1986 the German company shipped its most powerful SL of the decade to the United States with the 560SL. It was also the heaviest, but that was readily overcome by its 5.6-liter V-8 engine that produced 227 horsepower. The car was much improved in top speed (from 110-mph with the 380SL to 130-mph) and was far quicker from its zero to 60-mph speed by nearly four full seconds.
