The Mercedes-Benz 190SL is the first sports car built in volume by Daimler-Benz, closely resembling its well-developed sibling, the legendary 300SL. It was produced from 1955 until 1963; the car was marketed as more of a comfortable cruiser as opposed to the powerful 300SL sports car. A 190SL is capable of a top speed of 110 mph with zero-to-sixty times of 13.3 seconds, while offering economic gas mileage.
The 190SL utilizes a 1.9-liter, 105-hp inline four-cylinder engine that is mated to a floor-mounted four-speed manual transmission. The Mercedes-Benz has power four wheel drum brakes, bucket seats, full instrumentation (including tachometer and clock), tonneau cover for the retracted soft-top and radio. The roadster is finished in a desirable and complementary color combination.
This fabulous 190SL Roadster has received a concours quality restoration that was recently completed in North Carolina. It recently scored 489 points out of a possible 500 at its last national meet. The Mercedes-Benz runs and drives like a dream and has journeyed under 900 miles since its restoration was finished.
