This fantastic piece of 1950's hot rodding history is powered by a 239cid flathead Mercury engine featuring dual carbs and Offenhauser heads. Constructed from a fiberglass body and placed onto a 40's Ford chassis, cars such as the Californian were among the earliest "kit" cars. Although little is known about the Californian Sport Special, it is agreed that it is incredibly rare with one other confirmed example and the possibility of a third body which was never mounted to a chassis.
