Large individual luxury cars like the Eldorado are a portrait of a time in America when being creative and extravagant was fondly looked upon. They represent a time when a new automobile was truly a work of art and admired for that quality. We may never see a time like that again. Cars like the 1978 Eldorado still exist and prove that there was once a time when owning a grand car was possible and respected.
This was the last year for the full-size Eldorado; the example being offered is finished in Ruidoso Saddle and Arizona Beige two-tone and carries the same two-tone color theme in the contoured pillow-style seat cushions. The wheel covers also follow this color coding. The car is powered by a 425-cid, 180-hp V-8 engine with an automatic transmission and equipped as one expects a luxury car to be in this time frame.
This Biarritz is practically a new car in that it has only 905 miles registered on the odometer.
