The Harley-Davidson Sportster has been around for a very long time; it’s become America’s go-to bike for the purist who wants to enjoy a Harley that is quick, nimble, and pure. In 2013 Harley Davidson decided to introduce a variant that would bring the rider back the nostalgic days of the 1970s where the high handle bars, small tank, short fender bikes were what motorcycle enthusiasts lusted after. The 2013 Harley Davidson Sportster Seventy Two is exactly that bike. It offers an experience from a bygone era with modern reliability and performance, with all of the same looks and feels of the earlier bikes.

The example on offer here is nearly new in every way. Offered with delivery miles of just under 500 miles, and still under its factory warranty, as we are told. The day it was purchased from Brian’s Harley-Davidson, it was immediately sent to the performance shop at Brian’s for comprehensive bolt-on upgrades totaling nearly $3,100 to put this bike totally in order and make it unique in many ways. The total invoice was nearly $16,000, and only 500 miles ago, a new bike, with just about every option possible.

The modifications include everything from minor cosmetic bolt-ons such as grips, XL side-plates, Diamond Black Foot Pegs, sissy bar, saddle bags and even a stereo system. Performance upgrades were also completed; items such as high-flow air cleaner and cover, aftermarket exhaust system with slip-ons, and even a EFI Super Tuner was installed and dyno-tuned to perfection to make roughly 24-percent more horsepower and one great sound. Beyond this, as a Sportster Seventy-Two, it offers many options from the factory, many of which are in matte black and have a '70s era look to them. Another interesting feature is a Harley Davidson Alarm system option, which was included when new.

Ultimately, this is an opportunity to acquire a brand new 2012 Harley-Davidson Sportster Seventy-Two with only 500 miles since new. Offered with extensive modifications and an invoice of $16,000, this is surely a stellar sportster that won’t disappoint.
