In 1988, Rolex launched the 16520 Daytona. A self-winding chronograph based on a Zenith movement that Rolex heavily modified and made their own.

While the vast majority of these appear in stainless steel, the present lot represents a very rare exampled realised in yellow gold with a gold, diamond, and emerald-set dial.
