This car is presented as a “true barn find” 1936 Cadillac Series 85 Fleetwood Formal Sedan. The Cadillac is reported to have always been in Southern California. In fact, the original build sheet, acquired from Allied-Vaughn discloses the Cadillac was built on October 10, 1935 and was sold new by Don Lee Cadillac in Los Angeles, which later became Hillcrest Cadillac. Further information from the build sheet shows that options included a radio, a second clock on the rear tonneau, two ash trays and a special transmission. Also, according to the build sheet, the top was covered in leather and has since been removed.

Several years ago, around 2007, the current owner replaced the radiator core with an original V-cell core. Also the Bendix brakes have been rebuilt, as well as the fuel pump and carburetors. The fuel tank has been cleaned and sealed.

The Cadillac Series 85 is finished in black with a tan interior and is powered by a 368-cid V-12 engine and the aforementioned special ordered “special transmission.” Additional features include jump seats, divider window and microphone. Along with a copy of the build sheet, the Cadillac is recognized as a “Full Classic” by the Classic Car Club of America.
