The example offered here has been with its current owner since 1999. It was purchased out of the prestigious Maryland Estate Collection of Ray Brown. While in the collection, the Ford was fully restored and finished in the handsome color combination of red with black fenders and yellow wire wheels. Notably, the Roadster Pickup Truck has the lettering “P.H.F.D” on the doors, indicating its potential former use as a Fire Department vehicle.
Most recently it has undergone a light cosmetic restoration in anticipation for the auction. Work included the fitment of a correct new convertible top, as well as numerous pieces of brightwork that were refinished as needed and lastly, a thorough mechanical service insuring its proper running and driving condition. Accordingly, we understand that it is a pleasure to drive and will perform admirably for its next owner’s intended purposes, whether on longer drives or short and sweet parade marches.
