When introduced, the Imperial LeBaron was touted as the new measure for excellence in American motoring. Period literature claimed that “no luxury is unimportant for this magnificent motorcar.” Flawless finishes, restrained chrome accents and interior refinements were their hallmark. Perfection of many small things provided excellence without equal.

This beautiful, all-original top-of-the-line Southampton is unrestored and has travelled just over 59,000 miles from new. This exceptional machine experienced only two sympathetic owners from 1959 until 2011. The Deep Ruby Metallic finish with Silvercrest roof and complementary-colored two-tone interior are equally spectacular.

The Imperial is powered by a 413-cid, 350-hp V-8 engine that is mated to a push-button TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car came equipped with full power options that include radio; power windows, steering and brakes. This car also has the optional swivel seats and Automatic Beam Changer; Chrysler’s answer to the GM Autronic Eye.

The stunning original condition is further exemplified by the original Goodyear spare tire still in the trunk, and the provenance is confirmed via documentation. Only 622 similar cars were built, it would be difficult to locate one nicer than this.
