350-cid, 350-hp OHV V-8 engine, six-speed manual transmission, four-wheel independent suspension with monoleaf composite springs, and four-wheel power hydraulic disc brakes. Wheelbase: 104.5-inches.

This car is one of many used at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving. Founded in 1968 by former Formula One driver Bob Bondurant, the school operated at several race tracks before opening a purpose-built facility in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1990. The Bondurant School uses production performance cars, upgraded with safety and reliability equipment. Over the years, cars have been supplied by Nissan, Ford and, currently, General Motors.

This Corvette is an alumnus of the Bondurant driving school, as proclaimed on its brilliant yellow livery. It is the basic, 350-hp version of the 2003 ‘Vette, with six-speed manual transmission. It has all the creature comforts of the regular production car, air conditioning, power windows, power seat and original Delco sound system. Safety enhancements include a rollcage, onboard Safecraft fire suppression system and racing harness for the driver’s seat.

The physical condition of the car is very good, despite a career spent mostly in extremis. Contours, paint and trim are very good, as is the interior, but for some wear to the driver’s seat. The engine compartment and undercarriage are both very clean. The five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Retired from Bondurant in 2008, it comes with a huge file of relevant records.
