This car was recently awarded first place at this year’s Grand National Roadster Show in the Street Machines and Customs Class (1965-1979). With name recognition of its legendary builder, “Dick Burley,” this Chevelle is sure to resonate in the minds of any true performance aficionado.

Dick Burley was born in 1927 in Apple Valley, California and has been around hot rods all of his life. Dick was on the original crew of the fabled Greer, Black and Prudhome dragster that amassed a record of 236 wins with only seven losses in 1963 that still stands to this day. The late Keith Black was the legendary engine master that looked to Dick when the pressure was on. They remained friends until Keith’s unfortunate passing. Don Prudhome would become the third ranked competitor in the NHRA’s Top 50 Drivers after 47 years as both a driver and team owner.

Dick became a successful business owner, building and modifying hundreds of customer vehicles over these many years. After leaving the Los Angeles area, his customers still sought him out, travelling to the high-desert in Victor Valley to Dick’s residence.

Mr. Burley is no stranger to the media; every major automotive publication having recognized his talents as both a racer and a car builder. Most recently, Dick was featured in a Rod & Custom magazine story in September, 2010.

Now semi-retired, Dick concentrated his extensive talents to building this one-of-a-kind Chevelle and is now offering the opportunity for you to own a part of his legacy.
