The exciting 246 GTS version of the Dino Ferrari features a removable Targa roof that was specifically designed to appeal to the American market. Scaglietti only built 1,180 examples of this final and ultimate open air sports car. In their day, they were a car for those in the know, a perfect mix of styling, and many feel it is the most attractive and delicate ever to appear on a Ferrari. These cars have all the ingredients to make a perfect sports car: a high-revving V-6 five-speed transmission, disc brakes, and most importantly, a stiff and responsive chassis with bodywork closely derived from Pininfarina’s previous Dino 206.

This is a very nice example of a highly sought after and iconic Italian collector car. The Dino has fresh paintwork and has been recently serviced at Kudensport in Camarillo, California. It is equipped with Daytona seats and factory air conditioning. This example is equipped with a spare tire, Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette unit and mouse-hair dash.

The Dino produced some of the best skid-pad handling performance statistics ever seen in period. This is accomplished by its low polar moment of inertia established by the cars low profile, light weight and the mid-ship placement of the transverse-mounted 147.62-cid, 195-hp DOHC V-6 engine. The gearbox is a five-speed manual with a gated-shift. The Dino has four-wheel disc brakes and factory-spec Campagnolo wheels.

The design is pure Ferrari by Pininfarina and is greatly accented by the unusual and visually beautiful concave rear window. The proximity of the engine totally connects you to the car from the cockpit and leaves you looking forward to each trip down the road.
