  • Early example from a Dutch collection
  • Features a rounded tailgate, a complete line of Robri accessories, and an original soft-top roll-away sunroof
  • Reinforced chassis export model with a centrifugal clutch, oil bath filter and a Sahara bumper

The 1956 Citroen 2CV presented here is a very early example with an interesting history. It was recently imported to the US from Europe and is thought to have been delivered new to French Guiana. After some time it was then brought back to France, possibly in the late 1960s, and was owned by a M. Patrick Gillard in Saint Laurent prior to then joining a Dutch collection in the 1980s with whom it remained until recently.

It is complete with all the early options and features a rounded tailgate, a complete line of Robri accessories, and an original soft-top roll-away sunroof. Notably, it is an enforced chassis export model with a centrifugal clutch, oil bath filter and a Sahara bumper. The current US owner relates that this is a very lovely example fit for touring or the beach with its open top and delightful plaid interior.
