The 1949-1951 Ford Woodie Wagons represented the most expensive cars in Ford’s production line at the time, and the first time that Ford would be financially profitable producing wood bodied wagons. The ’49-’51 Woodie Wagons would represent the last time that Ford used real wood bodywork.

This particular woodie Station Wagon received a full frame-off nut and bolt restoration to the tune of $135,000 by marque experts that was completed in the winter of 2009. In late 2012, the Ford was converted to a 12-volt system and was completely sorted for everyday driving. Finished in a ‘sea-mist green’, it has third row seating and 1949 was the last production year for the rear wood tailgate, making this woodie all the more exceptional.

The owner reports all receipts and pictures documenting its meticulous restoration will accompany the car in its sale. The period correct “Sea-Mist Green” paint looks amazing and the beige and wood interior complete the car beautifully.
