Tony Upson began his career in a London ad agency creating storyboards and also tried his hand at painting pub signs for a local company in Kent. Through this work he discovered a passion for lettering paired with imagery and began to create automotive art. This painting depicts a Ferrari 500F2/625F1, chassis number 0480, driven by Alberto Ascari to victory at the 1953 British Grand Prix. Ascari was Ferrariās first Formula One World Champion and is the last Italian to win to date. The painting measures 56 inches by 80 inches.
