The third generation of Corvette, debuting in 1968, was patterned after Larry Shinoda’s Mako Shark II concept. The successful and very attractive design went largely unchanged through 1982. For 1972, a limited few engine options were available, one of which was the low production LT1 350-cid, 255 horsepower V-8. Only 1,741 were installed out of the 27,004 total cars. Of note, only 174 convertibles were imported into Canada with only 12 known to be with the LT1 engine as seen here. It is reported that the engine in this ‘Vette has been modified to produce 380 horsepower. The car is nicely equipped with a four-speed transmission, power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, tilt and telescopic steering column, luggage rack and accessory black vinyl hardtop. The overall condition is very good with light wear found in the saddle tan leather interior. This is a special Corvette roadster that can be enjoyed on any sunny day.
