A Corvette finishes first in the GT category and fourth overall at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1971. Chevrolet builds 21,801 of America’s favorite sports cars including 14,680 coupes and 7,121 convertibles; 25-percent more than it did in the previous model year. With a base price at $5,296 before options little changed from the previous model year, though prices increased nearly $500. This blue over blue C-3 is equipped with a white soft-top, power steering and four-wheel disc brakes, factory air conditioning, Rally wheels, and the 350-cid, 270-hp small-block V-8 with Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. It is an older restoration that presents nicely.
