This Tango Red and Black Windsor Deluxe Town & Country Wagon was sold new in Arizona and was a very solid example to use as a platform for its well-executed, quality oriented restoration which was completed three years ago. Everything is said to have been rebuilt and the car is represented as 100-percent correct. The vendor conveys that it would be difficult to locate a better example than this very car. With only 1,983 similar cars produced in 1955, it is considered as a quite rare Chrysler.
Very few Windsor Deluxe Town & Country wagons had the option list seen with this car, starting with the deluxe two-tone interior in black cloth and white pleated vinyl. This 301-cid V-8 car has a PowerFlite automatic transmission with dash-mounted shifter, plus power brakes, power steering, power seat, spotlight, foglights, rare SunCap windshield visor, Safety Accessory Group (standard), factory wheel covers, correct Goodyear Super Cushion whitewall tires and Electro-Touch Tuning radio with the uncommon foot control switch. The cargo area is as well finished as all other aspects of the car.
To further illustrate the Chrysler’s impeccable presentation; it has been the winner of many awards including AACA First Place Junior Award in 2011 and claiming a similar Senior Award one year later.
