Carroll Shelby turned the racing world upside down when he paired the small, lightweight AC body with a powerful Ford V-8 engine. The cars were a force to be reckoned with on the racetrack, and looked great to boot. While production of early Shelby Cobras was low, Shelby American has produced CSX continuation series’ to give future generations an authentic Shelby Cobra experience. One such series is the CSX 8000 series which brings back to life the timeless design of the “slab-sided” small-block Cobras.

This Shelby American Cobra continuation (CSX8039) is presented in silver with a red tonneau cover. The car rides on blackwall tires mounted on knock-off wire wheels. Additional exterior features on the car include windwings, rear exit dual exhaust as well as chrome front and rear bumpers. The car is powered by a 289-cid High Performance V-8 engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The interior of the car is completed in red, featuring bucket seats with seatbelts, sunvisors, a wood steering wheel and Smiths instrumentation.
