The legendary Mercedes-Benz R107 was introduced in 1971 and unknowingly at the time would become, perhaps, one of the most iconic Mercedes-Benz models ever built. The R107’s production duration spanned 18-years, making it the most commonly recognizable Mercedes. It was a prestigious machine that featured in many films and television shows; in turn, it was an automobile that many aspired to own. Premiering for US sales in 1972 the 350SL was a total make over from the Pagoda cars of the 1960s. It offered V-8 power, plenty of options, a refined design and interior.

They were indeed cutting edge, as SL models always have been. The 450SL offered here is finished with red paint and a black convertible top. The interior features a Nardi steering wheel, tan upholstery, electric windows and an in-dash radio. This car has had one owner since new who properly maintained this car. The owner reports that the paint was only touched up as needed.
