Here is the Corvette Bloggers (Keith Cornett) remark on November 12, 2014 regarding the Corvettes that were an integral component of the 2014 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“When the show started Tuesday morning, we made our way back to the Chevrolet area to see these Corvettes displayed. Then we hit the aisles and found some great looking Corvettes on display from third parties. Some of our favorites were the Lingenfelter C7 painted in Ember Gold matte paint….”
ASC Composites website headline proclaimed on November 14, 2014 that “Lingenfelter Stingray C7’s Steal SEMA 2014”. They then added, “Arguably the world’s craziest car show, Las Vegas’ SEMA 2014 lived up to the hype with some staggering exhibits and ACS were there to enjoy the madness. SEMA boasted everything from super wide-bodied Ferraris and Mona Lisa paint-jobs to insanely camouflaged monster trucks but two Corvette C7s stood out from the show to show class and performance. Mechanically speaking both cars are the same – 2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray and both are equipped with a range of our stunning RTM and carbon fiber parts to boost performance and style, while similarly both cars have been through the Lingenfelter mill receiving one heck of an engine upgrade.”
This is one of the two Corvettes being referred to above. This car was further called out in the automotive press when it was stated that “this stunning yellow C7 was given a premium paint job by the AkzoNobel Coatings in a shade that is new to the market and known as Ember Gold.”
This exemplary machine was built and shown as a Lingenfelter show car at SEMA where it won one of the Top 10 Corvettes at SEMA Award and runs with the Lingenfelter 6.2-liter engine package that includes a 378-cid Edelbrock E-Force TVS2300 intercooled supercharged system with 624 horsepower with 600-ft/lbs of torque and American Racing headers. This magnificent and highly respected powerplant is paired with a seven-speed manual transmission. Among the many features are Corsa Performance Cat Back exhaust, Forgeline three-piece VX3C wheels, Continental tires, ACS carbon fiber hood, rocker, grille and front splitter, plus the eye-catching paint that got the SEMA show audience talking. With just over 8,000 original miles, and the very fact it is a custom model from Lingenfelter, it is wise to give this special car special attention.
