Corvette changed its body styling quite significantly in the 1968 model year. Chevrolet introduced the C3 platform; this marked the introduction of the Mako Shark inspired lines. The front end was more aerodynamically equipped than previous models. This new Sting Ray did not lack in power and was exhilarating to drive. The body was seven inches longer than the car it replaced, while still riding on a 98-inch wheelbase. For 1968 the Sting Ray name was absent on the body of the car, but returned in 1969. The pop-up headlights were now vacuum operated as opposed to the electric versions. The rear deck was quite flat and contained four round taillights with the word Corvette printed in chrome across the back.

This particular Corvette convertible is equipped with a 427 cubic inch displacement V-8 engine with three two-barrel carburetors and pumps out 435 horsepower through its smooth four-speed manual transmission. It features power brakes and steering; sunvisors, AM/FM radio, antenna, chrome bumpers, Rally wheels, and red line tires. It has had a body-on restoration completed and the Rally Red paint exemplifies the distinct bodylines of this beautiful car. The black convertible top with matching interior sets this car apart from others. Under the hood the top air cleaner element is chrome as well as the valve covers. This particular automobile is ready for a new owner who wants to feel the power under their foot and the wind through their hair while driving it home and most importantly, benefits from having actual mileage.
