The famous G-Wagen or formally known as the Mercedes-Benz G-Class - short for Geländewagen (or cross-country vehicle), is a four-wheel drive full-size luxury Sports Utility Vehicle produced by Steyr-Puch (now Magna Steyr) in Austria and manufacturing by Mercedes-Benz. The G-Wagen is characterized by its boxy styling and body-on-frame construction, giving it a muscular look that is backed by its strong 5.0-liter, 292-hp V-8 engine with a seven-speed automatic transmission. When new, these usually invoiced in excess of $100,000.
