This Corvette is originally from California, being produced on February 28, 1967 and delivered to De Long Chevrolet in San Rafael, California. It came well-equipped with a 427-cid, 400-hp V-8 engine with a four-speed manual transmission, as well as factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows and Rally wheels. With ownership history back to 1993, this Corvette was purchased by the current owner in 2008. At that time, it was driven and enjoyed for a period of time, and then it was decided to upgrade the car with modern features while preserving the integrity of the platform in case it was ever decided to return the car to its original configuration.
The car’s original 427 engine has been rebuilt; the modern elements to the car are a Flaming River tilt steering column, a reproduction teakwood steering wheel, dual DeWitts radiator fans, remote radar detectors at front and rear, hidden XM/AM/FM radio, restored the gauges, new Al Knoch seats and carpet, new transistorized ignition, new stainless steel brakes, new gas tank, new FlowKooler water pump, new 3.70:1 posi-traction and the transmission was rebuilt.
It is reported that the following original components will accompany the car should you be the one who decides to return it to a more original setup; these include steering column, steering wheel, air conditioning unit, radiator and seatbelts.
