Powered by a 305-cid, High Output Chevrolet engine and four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, this 1987 Avanti is optioned nicely with power windows, lock, brakes, mirrors and steering along with a power top. It is built on a Chevrolet Monte Carlo chassis and was purchased new in California, spending most of its life in Arizona. The interior features an upgraded Sony sound system with leather interior. Its new tan top and headliner compliment its red paintwork exceptionally well. The steering wheel is signed by Michael Kelly, CEO of the Avanti Corporation. Factory options that come on the Avanti include wire wheels, all leather interior, luggage rack, wood steering wheel and driving lights. Coming from a limited production of approximately 200, few were convertibles. The car has 95,645 miles when its inspection was completed April 6, 2013. All major components are reported to be in very good condition and it runs very well. The Avanti sports a custom boot for when the top is down as well. Currently in Pennsylvania, the car is never driven in snow and seldom in the rain according to the owner and comes with the original window sticker.
