  • Passed on from generation to generation
  • Benefitted from a painstaking restoration in the 1990’s

This Five-Passenger Sedan is remarkable in that it remained in the ownership of one North Carolina family from new until 2011. The original owner’s son, now 88-years-old, wrote in 2011, “Dad bought the new 1928 Packard from Mr. Tank Hunter in Carrboro, North Carolina, who was the areas Packard dealer. It has been in our family from then until the present and it was driven by Dad until 1948. He said that it would become mine when he died.” In other words, this beautiful Five-Passenger Sedan has had just two caretakers since new, a father and son. We have a vintage photograph of a small boy standing next to his dads car, which is this Packard that his dad purchased new in 1928. The boy grew up, inherited the car, and lovingly oversaw a painstaking restoration of his dad’s Packard after his own retirement in the 1990s. The vehicle was bone stock original when the restoration commenced, and remains in outstanding authentic condition today.
