  • One-family vehicle restored by the son of the first owner to a very high level.
  • Heavily optioned example with many desirable features including the 162hp 265cid V-8.
  • Recipient of multiple awards including 960 out of 1000 points at the Chevy Nationals.
  • Runs and drives well but has been driven infrequently since 2005.

This Model 3100 truck is painted Forest Green and its bed is redone with 5 ½-inch wide oak slats, varnished to a high gloss and separated with black painted metal strips. The bed also has matching finished oak stake uprights. The paint and chrome trim on this beautiful truck are almost flawless and the interior, with gray vinyl seats edged with black, looks like new. The frame and undercarriage are as pristine as the body and the engine and engine compartment are equally well-done.

The outstanding example of a mid-50s Chevrolet truck is very desirable given its host of options that include a 265-cid, 162-hp V-8 engine, oil filter, chrome front and rear bumpers, front bumper guards, chrome front grille, period correct BFGoodrich 6.70 X 15 whitewall tires, full wheel covers, AM radio, dual side mirrors, deluxe heater/defroster, cigarette lighter, external sunshade, directional signals, dual sun visors, stainless steel door edge guards, chrome door handle shields and a utility tray mounted to the rear of the cab behind the seat.

Before being acquired by its current owner, this was a one-family owned vehicle that was subsequently owned and restored by the son of the original owner to a very high level. The vehicle has been started and driven short distances on an infrequent basis since 2005 when it became part of a collection and remains in excellent condition overall. It has been placed on public display frequently and never fails to attract admiring comments. According to the previous owner, the vehicle has been the recipient of numerous awards—this includes placing first, receiving 960 out of a possible 1,000 points, at the Classic Chevy Nationals.

The vehicle comes with its original owner’s manual and various instructions regarding the installation of a number of the options with which the vehicle is equipped. The vehicle starts and runs well, but since it has been part of a collection for the past eight years and driven infrequently and only for short distances, the buyer is advised that it may require some degree of re-commissioning before placing it into routine service.
