Ford resumed civilian production in July of 1945, with an early start to the 1946 model year. The 1946 Ford was identical to the 1942 model under the skin, though a heavy new grille with horizontal bars and red accents provided modernization.

- 239-cid, 100-hp V-8 Flathead engine
- Was most powerful production Ford engine built to that time
- Three-speed manual transmission with Columbia overdrive
- Nicely restored
- Radio, heater, clock, turn signals, amber fog lights
- Power top, fender skirts, bumper guards, dual mirrors, wide whitewall tires
One notable change was an enlargement of the V-8 engine to 239.4-cid and producing 100 horsepower for the first time. Having received a full restoration some time ago, this Super DeLuxe admirably shows Ford’s attractive post-war updates. The maroon paint is of good quality and is echoed in the interior with maroon leather and cord upholstery. Features include a factory radio with speaker, under-dash heater, clock and power top. The engine bay was also properly restored using correct components. This convertible is most desirable and will be perfect for the local shows.
