Model 77. 221-cid, 85-hp L-head V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle and live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 112-inches

Although pickups were the best-selling light commercial Fords, in 1937 the company began offering a model with a raised platform bed. This was handy at loading docks, and removable side stakes allowed greater versatility in loading.

Fully restored, this 1937 Platform Pickup has been upgraded for modern driving with fog lights, power hydraulic brakes, power steering and air conditioning. It has been converted to 12-volts in the process, as well as dual exhausts and a new radiator with electric fan. Other enhancements include dual horns, chrome wheel trim and Firestone whitewall tires.

Contours are excellent and the paint is exceptional. The seats are upholstered in a period-appropriate patterned black vinyl. The cab has a crank-out windshield for better ventilation, and the floor has a black rubber mat. The engine, showing cylinder heads with the correct Model 77 part number, is well detailed, and the undercarriage and frame are finished to a degree seldom seen on commercial vehicles.

Whether for business or pleasure, this Ford V-8 Platform Pickup is bound to be a hit.
