This T-Bird is one of only 15,631 produced in 1956. Underneath the hood sports the “Thunderbird Y-8” 292CI, 202HP, V-8 Engine with a single four-Barrel Carburetor, and a floor mounted three-speed with overdrive. Options include power windows, power seat, power steering, wire wheel hubcaps, and 2-Tops. Other features include a chrome engine dress-up kit, AM radio, fender skirts, and white sidewall tires. Over $30,000 was invested and it has been driven only 300 miles since the restoration was completed in 1997. The car was stripped to bare metal for a re-spray in a correct 1956 Thunderbird color Fiesta Red. All trim and bumpers were replaced or refinished, and the suspension was rebuilt and the drivetrain was removed and refreshed. The interior was completely redone to original red/white specifications, and all parts used were genuine reproduction or NOS. It is a well-documented restoration that is complete with receipts.
