All Pace Car edition Corvettes were equipped with the new glass T-tops, alloy wheels, power windows, rear defogger, air conditioning, sport mirrors, tilt/telescope steering wheel, heavy-duty battery, power door locks, and an AM/FM stereo with either an eight-track tape player or CB radio. The final touch was a set of regalia decals for owner installation. These included "winged wheel" Indy Speedway logos for the rear fenders and legends for the doors reading "Official Pace Car, 62nd Annual Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, May 28, 1978."
This example features the optional L82 engine, which was a 220 horsepower 350-cid/5.7 liter V-8 capable of powering the Corvette from 0 to 60 in an impressive 6.5 seconds, a 1.3 seconds quicker than the base L42 V-8. In addition this Corvette has a four-speed manual transmission and shows 23,259 miles. Original books, build sheets, widnow sticker, add books and all papers.
