This unique Model A Custom Boat Tail was built using a standard Model A Ford running gear and fenders. The original Model A engine is fitted with a later, downdraft V-8 Ford carburetor, a unique, side mounted mechanical fuel pump and a Mallory, dual point distributor ignition. The chassis has been fitted with 18” 1932 Ford wire wheels. The two-seat, boat-tailed speedster body is hand fabricated in the style of a period, coach-built body using a wood inner structure which is covered by a hand fabricated, polished aluminum panels and a matching custom built cowl, hood and radiator shell. Recently restored, this unique Model A Ford boat tail speedster is in excellent, overall condition.
