Originally finished in Blu Dino Metalizzato over a Beige interior and completed in October of 1973, this E-Series Dino 246 GTS was shipped from Maranello to Bill Harrah’s Modern Classic Motors of Reno, Nevada. Its original owner was Gary Nolan Buck of Oklahoma, who took delivery in early 1974, but the following year it was purchased by Gary Castor.

A U.S. Navy pilot, Castor enjoyed his Dino not only in Virginia, but also while on deployment in Naples, Italy. Castor moved to San Diego at some point and continued to drive the car until 1989, when the car was involved in a road accident and subsequently becoming parked in his garage. It sat unrepaired until it was purchased by William and Carol Biggs of Kelseyville, California, in 1999. The Biggs repaired and restored the car, retaining ownership until 2013, at which point it was sold and subsequently shipped to the UK for a full restoration.

At this point, chassis no. 06290 is awaiting its finishing touches. The engine and gearbox have been fully rebuilt, along with the suspension, brakes, and steering. It is believed that the restoration is largely complete and, at present, is awaiting paintwork and final assembly.

A l'origine de teinte Blu Dino Metalizzato avec intérieur beige, cette Dino 246 GTS Série E est sortie d'usine en octobre 1973, avant d'être envoyée de Maranello au distributeur Modern Classic Motors, dirigé par Bill Harrah à Reno (Nevada, États-Unis). Son premier propriétaire, Gary Nolan Buck, de l'Oklahoma, en a pris livraison au début de 1974, avant qu'elle soit achetée l'année suivante par Gary Castor.

A ce stade, ce châssis n° 06290 attend ses retouches de finition. Le moteur et la boîte de vitesses ont été complètement refaits, de même que la suspension, les freins et la direction. La restauration semble en grande partie terminée et, à présent, attend les travaux de peinture et d'assemblage final.
