The Ranchero was conceived as a design for individuals whose business interests and working way of life made this vehicle the natural choice. There were three choices of Ranchero in 1977; the 500, GT and Squire. The Ranchero GT was the most luxurious of the three offerings and carries a sleek look that beckons you to climb aboard to see what driving luxury in a “sedan-pickup” is all about. Great for the construction sight or loading your golf clubs in back for a trip to the links, the Ranchero could handle any number of chosen tasks in a stylish manner. The Ranchero GT features handsome GT logo and stripes, with sport-style mirrors (both remote) and, on this fine example, optional Magnum 500 wheels.

This 1977 Ford Ranchero GT was restored in the late 1990s. Its VIN indicates that it started off as portrayed now, as it runs with the optional 400-cid V-8 engine with dual exhaust that is matched to an automatic transmission; as a GT version from day one. Additional equipment includes Brougham Décor Group interior, factory air conditioning, bucket seats, center console, Sports instrument panel, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM/cassette; power antenna, steering and brakes. The Mag 500 wheels are fitted with Goodyear Wingfoot HP white letter tires; additionally the Ford features stainless steel dual exhaust system, exterior chrome package and is finished in its original factory colors. The Ranchero GT has great paint and panel fit; a highly detailed engine bay is also seen. This Ford Ranchero GT has been well maintained and appreciated by its current owner and this care can be seen in its presentation.

In 1977, Ford produced 21,850 Rancheros, of those 12,462 were the lively GT models.
