In 1949, Kaiser-Frazer Corporation spent $10 million to completely revamp the 1949 models to make them look longer, lower and more modern. The wheelbase was extended to 123.5-inches, with the overall length growing by nearly ten inches to 206.5-inches.

Kaiser set out after World War II to prove that automobiles could be designed to modern standards of efficiency and beauty. This Kaiser Deluxe Four-Door Sedan is reported to be in mostly original condition and conveys the model of what Kaiser was striving for in terms of elegance and design at the higher end of the American car market. This Kaiser is powered by a 226-cid, 112-hp inline six-cylinder engine and is mated to a three-speed column-shift manual transmission. Beautiful brightwork design, factory wheel covers and wide whitewall tires are set off nicely by the maroon finish with tan cloth interior.
