This rare, original, first-edition poster is the work of Roger de Valerio, who worked extensively in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s. Among his patrons was the Devambez advertising agency, for which he executed this poster in 1930. His clever use of overhead perspective and the row of tree trunks gives the poster a unique style. The cars are depicted in pale pastel colors and are partially concealed by the trees—the main objective, of course, being to tease the viewer into visiting the showroom. Despite minor areas of foxing and minor visible fold lines, the poster is in excellent, unrestored condition. It is conservation linen mounted, framed to edge, and glazed.
