Sculptured by G. Poitvin in silvered bronze and with the Contenot-Lelievre foundry stamp and signature G. Poitvin, plus Casset, and Lyon. This piece depicts an unbalanced woman bent forward facing the wind with her dress flowing behind. Originally commissioned and marketed in 1921 by Hermes, it was eventually retailed in the UK by Finnigans of London as an accessory mascot in the mid 1920s and 1930s. Experiencing some verdigris in deep, detailed folds. Stamped Made in France.
