For 1996, Jordan competed in Formula 1 using the Jordan 196. Team drivers were Rubens Barrichello and Martin Brundle. The team posted several 4th-place finishes but was plagued by numerous retirements. That year also marked Brundle’s last year behind the wheel in Formula 1.
Interestingly, this nose cone is from a Jordan 195, but finished in the gold livery from the 1996 season. That year Martin Brundle would trade seats with 1995 World Rally Champion Colin McRae and his Subaru Impreza 555 for a press event held at Silverstone. Impressively, McRae was just a couple of seconds off Brundle’s pace.
