The 1979 Corvette saw many optional features from the 1978 model become standard equipment, which enhanced comfort and drivability. Air conditioning, power windows, and a telescoping steering column were among these luxuries. The fastback rear window was the most dramatic and emphatic styling change carried over from 1978. The fixed-glass fastback benefited both aerodynamics and increased the usable luggage space behind the seats, while greatly improving rearward visibility. A retractable shade was installed to cover the rear compartment to protect cargo and carpet against sun exposure. A new seat design folded flat to ease access to the area. The front and rear spoiler package used on the previous year’s Pace Car was now available as an option on any Corvette.

This 1979 Corvette is finished in blue with a black deluxe interior. It has been driven under 11,000 miles since new and is nicely presented.
