The 1940 Ford was a continuation of the previous year’s styling. The next major change would take place the following year, just before all American manufacturers converted to wartime production. The DeLuxe line consisted of six basic body styles, including coupes, tudor and fordor sedans, station wagons, and a convertible. Less than four percent of total production was represented in the desirable convertible coupe style. A quality restoration was performed on this example many years ago, and today, the car continues to present very well with a lovely patina. The paint finish still presents nicely, with minor chips visible in certain locations. The interior has been maintained to a high standard with attractive tan leather seats and door panels, all of which are well fitted.
