This 1959 Austin Healey 100/6 BN6 two-seater is one of only 3,900 examples originally built. According to Healey marque experts, it is also the most sought-after model by collectors today with the highly desirable combination of its easily tuned SU H6 carburetors, six-cylinder power and the classic elegance of the earlier 100-4 two-seater body configuration.

This example benefits from a total nut-and-bolt, body-off restoration by marque experts Tom and Randee Rocke of Healey Lane in Riverside, California. The body panels and chassis were shot-blasted to bare metal before being painted with a two-stage DuPont polyurethane base/clear system in Healey Blue. A completely new interior was fitted, with blue seat covers and silver trim, matching blue wool carpeting and new interior panels, along with a new trunk kit. New side curtains, a blue top, a blue tonneau cover and triple-plated chrome trim complete the cosmetic package.

All new parts were used to rebuild the three-liter engine, transmission, overdrive and ancillary systems. An all-new cloth wiring harness was installed, along with new and rebuilt electrical components. A completely new fuel system was installed, including a new tank and fuel lines, all the way up to the newly rebuilt 1.75-inch SU carburetors. The new steel exhaust system was jet-coated. The suspension was completely rebuilt, and braking was upgraded to front discs plus new brake lines, a new master cylinder and jet-coated rear brake drums. Dunlop chrome wire wheels and Roadspeed tires are fitted on all four corners.

No expense was spared in this restoration, and most of the parts utilized were purchased new from England. Complete photographic documentation and a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate accompany this highly desirable final-year 100/6. Healey Lane will offer this car with a one-year driveline warranty as well. For additional information, please speak with an RM representative.
